“Elastic thinking is an asset that can be finely honed”
I am leading an Improv Workshop at a local high school. In developing the workshop, I am looking to present improvisational skills (i.e. safe playing, looking for offers, and saying yes) as important life tools. In doing so, I am researching the importance of “elastic thinking and problem solving”. I ran across this article that rang true on BBC Worklife. Figured I’d share.
How to become an ‘elastic thinker’ and problem solver

Here is an inspiring, crowd-sourced poem about hope for the new school year. This structure of this collaborative poem was based on Maya Angelou poem, Woman Work (https://allpoetry.com/Woman-Work)
NPR poet-in-residence Kwame Alexander asked parents, students, and teachers to send in their “Back To School” version of this poem, which he then wordsmithed into this crowd-sourced poem. The printed version is not yet available, but you can listen to it here.
This is not the first crowd-sourced poem facilitated by Mr. Alexander. Below is a link to the May 2021 collaborative poem, I Wake With Wonder. https://www.npr.org/2021/05/28/1000234056/i-wake-with-wonder-a-crowdsourced-poem-of-pandemic-pain-and-hope
